Wellness Spotlight: On Work Ethic, Faith, and Family

One of the things I love most about my work as a health coach is getting to walk alongside remarkable people as they navigate full, meaningful lives.

Erica is one of those people.

She is a successful business owner, a devoted mom, a woman of faith, and someone who consistently shows up for the people around her. She runs a thriving travel business, helping families create memorable experiences while managing the constant demands that come with serving clients well. Like many entrepreneurs, her work requires focus, determination, and a strong work ethic and Erica brings all three.

In fact, she once shared something that has stayed with me: when it comes to work, she knows how to set goals and achieve them. Her drive and discipline have helped her build a very successful business.

But what I admire most about Erica isn’t just her professional success.

It’s the way she shows up for others.

She shows up for her husband and two boys. She shows up for her parents and extended family. She shows up for her church and community. And even in busy seasons of life, she continues to make space for what matters most—faith, family, and service.

Like many high-achieving women, Erica didn’t come to coaching because she lacked motivation. She came because she wanted support in creating structure and balance so she could live the life she values most. Coaching became a space to pause, reflect, celebrate wins, and align her habits with what matters most.

This year, Erica chose a word to guide her: STARLIGHT—a reminder to center her life around faith, family, wellness, and intentional living.

That word captures who she is.

She works hard. She cares deeply. And she continues to grow—seeking balance, honoring her health, and striving to live a life that reflects her values of time, energy, people, and truth.

Watching Erica pursue her goals while continuing to pour into others has been inspiring. Her story is a reminder that wellness doesn’t always look quiet or simple. Sometimes it looks like leadership, responsibility, and love in action.

And Erica embodies that beautifully.

Her journey is also a reminder of something I see often in my coaching work: even the most capable people benefit from having a space to reflect, reset, and be supported along the way.

It has been a joy to walk alongside Erica in that process and I look forward to our continued work together.
